Supporting Your Birth, Your Way

Three certified doulas—one trusted team for Seattle & Puget Sound families

A certified birth doula with Arise Doula Collective touches a pregnant woman's stomach while assisting her with birth and postpartum planning in Seattle.

As mothers ourselves, we’re familiar with the challenges of preparing for birth:

Researching providers, making a hundred and one decisions, even finding out our doula wasn’t available when we thought she’d be there. There were times we felt uncertain, wondering if we were finding the right information, choosing the right people, making the right decisions. It’s easy to feel confused, exhausted, and overwhelmed by it all.

We started Arise Doula Collective to answer these challenges with a single solution: a dedicated doula team walking by your side to help you create a birth that’s right for your body, mind, soul, and the little one about to change your life in the most beautiful of ways.

Each of us is also trained in birth photography, discreetly capturing the tender, beautiful moments from your big day that preserve them for a lifetime.

The name Arise Doula Collective comes from Isaiah 60:1, which says,

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”

A bible sits on a table, open to the verse that inspired the name of Arise Doula Collective in Seattle, WA.

What’s In A Name?

This verse speaks of awakening, empowerment, and purpose—themes that align wonderfully with birth work and the mission of our team. As doulas, we guide you through one of the most transformative seasons of your life, encouraging you to rise into your strength and trust the process.

When applied to birth, this verse becomes a powerful affirmation: Arise, this is your moment. Step into this journey with confidence—you were made for this.

Jordan

Holistic doula and co-founder of Arise Doula Collective, Jordan, smiles at the camera.
  • I’m a momma of five, each with a unique birth story—hospital, birth center, and home birth. My last two are twins, and I love supporting parents of multiples as it’s an experience only those who’ve been there can truly understand. I believe our bodies are perfectly designed to experience the beauty, power, and surrender of birth, and my passion is helping mothers embrace that process and grow closer to their partner as they prepare for parenthood together.

  • My birth and postpartum doula certification through CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association) has given me the opportunity to support women through prenatal visits, birth support, postpartum care, and lactation support. As part of my continuing education, I was recently trained in Thompson Method Breastfeeding.

  • When I’m not supporting families in the birth space, I’m homeschooling my youngest two at our home in the Tacoma suburb of Puyallup, serving with my church family, and spending as much time as I can outdoors—hiking, skiing and growing food in my vegetable garden!

AUTUMN

Certified birth doula and co-founder of Arise Doula Collective, Autumn, smiles at the camera.
  • After a traumatic birth experience with my first child—one that left me feeling disempowered and disconnected from my body—I knew I wanted something different the next time. As a labor and delivery nurse, I had a strictly clinical view of childbirth, but that first birth experience completely shifted my perspective. I began to pursue a more holistic, prayerful, and empowering approach to birth, and when my second child arrived it was beautiful and healing in every way. As a Christian, I view birth as a holy and transformative journey, and am passionate about supporting women in their own redemptive birth experiences.

  • Along with my doula training from DONA International and VBAC Link, I have nearly a decade of experience as a labor and delivery Registered Nurse. This unique background allows me to serve mothers with a combination of healthcare expertise and empathetic, heart-centered support.

  • I absolutely love listening to birth stories—each one is unique and beautiful. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends in my hometown of North Bend, worshiping at church, browsing bookstores, watching sitcoms, and backpacking through the Pacific Northwest. My favorite treat is a chocolate chip cookie—but only the crispy edges!

JESSICA

Seattle doula and co-founder of Arise Doula Collective, Jessica, smiles at the camera.
  • I’m a West Seattle native and a wife and mom to four beautiful kids. My first two births brought many moments of uncertainty, fear, and self-doubt, and highlighted the huge gap between conventional medical care and the holistic, compassionate support women deserve. During my third pregnancy I decided to pursue a different path - one rooted in faith, education, and empowered choice. The incredible birth I experienced because of that intentional process is what ultimately led me to become a doula. My goal is to honor each mother’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and be the nurturing, supportive presence I wish I’d had in the past.

  • As a Certified Body Ready Method Pro and a birth doula certified through Lifespan Doulas and the Washington State Dept. of Health, I use my specific training in pelvic alignment and movement to assist in fetal positioning, reduce discomfort in pregnancy, and support both you and your partner for a calm and connected birth.

  • When I’m not supporting my clients, you’ll likely find me at a basketball game with my family, at church, coaching cheerleaders, or chasing my youngest around Seattle’s Museum of Flight.
